Our Mission

SSELC exists to give children in Muse — and the wider region — access to an international-standard education without leaving Myanmar. We follow the Pearson curriculum, teach in three languages (Myanmar, English and Mandarin), and design every classroom around the idea that confidence comes before correctness.

Our work is grounded in one principle: how a child feels about learning determines how well they learn. That belief shapes every part of how we teach, how we hire, and how we welcome families.

What is our educational philosophy?

We believe English (and any language) is learned through immersion, play and confident speaking — not through translation drills or grammar memorisation. Read our full method on the How We Teach page.

Why the Pearson curriculum?

Pearson is UK-derived, internationally recognised, and aligned with global standards. Our students earn credentials accepted by leading universities in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and across Asia — without leaving Muse.

Why three languages?

Myanmar is identity and daily life. English is the global gateway. Mandarin is the practical second business language for our region. We don't choose between them — we teach all three.

How do you involve parents?

Regular reports on academic progress, termly parent-teacher meetings, and an open-door policy at the campus. We welcome school visits — call ahead and come see how we work.
